On Dec. 8, 2007, thousands of Torontonians took to the streets in solidarity with people in 37 cities across Canada and more than 70 countries around the world for a Global Day of Action to make their peaceful outrage heard and to demand immediate, aggressive, life-or-extinction responses to the dire global emergency and social injustices posed by the devastating impacts of climate change.
