About the Climate Emergency: Race 2 Survival (R2S) Campaign
Now. Fast. Together! climateye's Climate Emergency: Race 2 Survival (R2S) Campaign is a bold call for the rejection of 'business as usual' in favour of an urgent international declaration of a state of global emergency. Why? To allow for the greater than WW2-equivalent mass- mobilization necessary to REVERSE our accelerating course toward the potentially unsurvivable threat of runaway climate collapse within the lifetimes of today's children.
Inspired by Project Survival, an initiative of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) to safeguard the survival of all peoples and nations against the current global emissions reduction targets set by powerful countries that condemn their nations to extinction.
R2S is an urgent invitation, donation and mobilization effort to escalate and maximize our climate emergency advocacy and activism.
Through truth, passion, emotion and urgency, climateye will work to:
-
Expose mainstream misinformation about global 'warming' (heating) and climate 'change' (breakdown, destabilization) as the clear, present, unprecedented and accelerating threat it has become to the survival of all people and most species within the lifetimes of today's children.
-
Warn, educate and advocate that the climate crisis is both an urgent, global emergency AND an unprecedented opportunity —
(See: Fear is GOOD, necessary, essential, and hope is NOT an action verb). -
Detail the inadequacies (insanities!) of the international climate negotiation parameters and process.
-
E-lobby a wide range of associated decision makers with essential calls for an international declaration of a state of global emergency to allow for the greater than WW2-equivalent, global mass-mobilization necessary to prevent runaway climate collapse.
-
Engage, enlist, mobilize and document public, individual, and volunteer support for a variety of both our own, and other organizations' climate-related initiatives and action.
Join the Emergency Movement. Join the Race — 2 Survival!
